It has been a true honor for me to be involved here as invited professor to teach at the oldest flap course in the world 🌎 The Canniesburn Flap Course 💪
Interesting days to teach young residents and learn from brilliant colleagues 🤝

Did you know that is possible to harvest a forehead flap ⚒️ with an eyebrow lift 👁️👁️ aesthetic approach 🎨?

In this patient who suffered from left facial palsy I addressed eyelid ectropion 👁️ with tarsal strip canthoplasty to allow his eye to close properly and corrected eyebrow ptosis with direct brow lift 👀
The tissue derived from the brow lift was recycled in form of SupraTrochlear Artery Propeller Flap 🚁 and used to reconstruct the nose 👃🏻 allowing to restore aesthetics and function 🎯

Tonight in between 2 free flaps I had to honor to be invited again by the National Society of Mexican Plastic Surgeons 🇲🇽 to expose our experience with Microsurgical Reconstruction of Advanced Skin Cancer 💀 in the elderly population 👴

Patients and colleagues who follow me already know how difficult is to fix a botched breast reconstruction 🎀 after implant complications and radiotherapy ☢️
It takes a lot of efforts by the microsurgery team 🔬and a lot of patience and resilience by our lovely patients 🫀

There is an alternative way to go ⚠️
Asking an immediate autologous breast reconstruction avoids the complications of a foreign body.
This patient just asked and obtained what she aimed at 🎯 A natural soft breast, no implants, one shot surgery, life lasting results, abdominal silhouette much improved 🎨 I am really happy to show such results for all my patients. Choose wisely, it’s your right 💪
