Did you know that in the Bibliotheca Antiqua of Aboca there are more than 3
thousand volumes? It is at the very heart of our historical research. Here, a team of
scholars delve deeper into ancient texts to research past solutions to a variety of
health problems. We then verify and develop traditional knowledge through the lens
of modern science and innovation, ensuring that this information is put to use in our
product development.

FSC certification ensures that the paper used in our packaging is produced in a way that respects the environment, biodiversity, the rights of workers and local people. It is all part of a broader concept of sustainability: FSC certified paper is produced without the need for any primary forests to be felled and without damaging the balance of the ecosystem for any indigenous communities.

How's the environment doing? Here at Aboca, we ask ourselves this question every day. It guides every decision, process and investment. Because we believe that taking care of people's health is only possible if we also take care of the health of the Planet. That's why our production facilities are designed to ensure both therapeutic quality and environmental circularity. We have begun a multi-year strategy to produce clean energy, reduce our reliance on natural gas and cut emissions. We will also achieve this with a new agri-voltaic park near our production site. In 2025, we will also conduct an in-depth analysis of our carbon footprint. This will help us develop a more targeted strategy for reducing the environmental impact of our production process.
🌱 Today is World Environment Day, and it provides us with the perfect opportunity to reaffirm the commitment we’ve made for the past 50 years.

🌿 At Aboca, we believe that researching into the relationship between nature and health also involves promoting culture.

Today we’re taking you to our new agricultural centre in Gricignano. This is where our freshly harvested plants arrive from our organic cultivations. First, the herbs are selected and cut, then the drying process begins in 30 thermo-ventilated ovens.
What are we most proud of?
We managed to build this new facility by regenerating a large area that had long been disused, reusing some of the aggregate material from the demolition of old structures.
Because the future for us is circular.

The 8th of March isn't just another 'holiday' or 'world day'. It's a day to remember the social and economic achievements of women and the discrimination and violence they still face today.
Here at Aboca, gender equality is a key priority. We're dedicated to creating a work environment that's free from prejudice, and where women have equal opportunities for growth and pay from the first interview. We're working hard every day to make sure women can take part and stay in the world of work, making sure their work is recognised and valued equally.
Much has been achieved, but there is still a long way to go. And we are committed to continuing the work with our usual determination.

To mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we want to pay tribute to all the female role models who have, with courage and determination, paved the way for a fairer future in science. 🔬 As can be read in "Le ragazze della scienza" by Olivia Campbell, published in Italian by Aboca Edizioni, all too often in the past "women were the co-authors who enjoyed no credit. They were the anonymous assistants, the wives who acted as editors or illustrators - they did most of the dirty work and never received any recognition". ➡️ At Aboca, we believe that science should be inclusive and value every person's talent.
