This week is about calming inflammation, easing digestion and feeling lighter in my body again. After my delivery went on a journey and I had to chase it down to an off license at 10pm last night Im super excited to get started with the cleanse today. I love how easy it is to action, no faff, just simple filling nutritious shakes.
If you’re feeling bloated or sluggish, you’re not alone 💚

I came back from Bali 7 pounds heavier and honestly, the number doesn’t bother me.
What I did notice was the bloating, sluggish digestion, low energy and that heavy, inflamed feeling in my body.
Travel, different foods, sugar, alcohol, disrupted routines… it all adds up.
So this week I’m doing my Shed in 7 not to punish my body, but to support it.
This isn’t about starving or extremes.
It’s about calming the gut, reducing inflammation, and getting my energy and digestion back on track.
If you’ve ever come back from a holiday (or just life) feeling a bit off in your body this is your sign that support works better than willpower.
I’ll be sharing my experience over the next 7 days.
If you’re curious or want to do it alongside me, just message me 💚

I don’t believe in masking symptoms anymore.
I believe in understanding them.

For years my body was trying to communicate — I just didn’t know how to listen.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in your body, you’re not broken.
You might just need support.

Listening to your body when it’s screaming at you.

Last Friday I should have been competing in the Hyrox competition with my bestie.

We bought our tickets around Easter, deciding it would be something amazing to train for together.
But then a silly move in the gym followed by a run that sealed the deal left me with a knee injury.

A visit to the doctor confirmed I might have something called fat pad knee. Possibly more, but in his eyes nothing too serious that couldn’t be solved with committed physio, unless I kept ignoring the signs.

Then came the aftermath of an 11-day holiday in the sun where breakfast was espresso martinis, lunch was pizza and wine, and dinner was tequila and more pizza. Even though I have a wheat intolerance, the pizza in Italy never seems to upset me but I carried those habits home.

My body wasn’t happy. I noticed aches, clicks, pains after eating certain foods. And a visit to my energy healer/massage therapist confirmed what I already suspected: my body was acidic, inflamed and basically in bits.

That’s when I knew I needed to pull out of Hyrox and give myself permission to heal properly.

As a nutritionist, I know how dangerous chronic inflammation can be, but sometimes we need the wake-up call ourselves.

So I made some changes:

1. I’d already stopped drinking the day I landed from Sardinia, so I decided to stay alcohol-free until Christmas to give my liver a proper reset.

2. Cooking whole, nutrient-dense food to support healing.

3. Completely changing my training: no running, strengthening my glutes and core, one 45-min stepper session and gentle full-body workouts.

4. Swapping HIIT for Pilates, yoga and strength training with static, knee-friendly movements. No more deep squats.

5. A whole month off raving in November — tough for my soul, but necessary for my leg.

6. Reducing sugar (minus the week before my period… we don’t talk about that 😂). Swapping refined sugar for dates and fruit instead.

7. Doing the 7-Day Shred with this week to support my gut health which impacts everything.

8. Allowing myself rest, without guilt.

9. Lots of meditation to ground myself and calm my nervous system.

10. And simply being gentler with myself. I still struggle to say no because I don’t want to let people down, but health *has* to come first. You can’t be everywhere and do everything.

The good news?
My knee is already feeling so much better. I can feel the inflammation settling, and I feel more grounded than I have in months.

This is your reminder: listen to your body. Give it the time it needs but also support it with the tools you have. Healing isn’t passive. It’s intentional. 💛

Hey IG world. It's been a hot minute. 🤣

You're probably asking where have I been or you didn't even notice I was gone.

Well I thought with the world going tipsy curvy and everyone focusing the efforts back on health that now would be a good time to share my advice about wisdom about how to keep your wellness and health tip top particularly if you're heading close to your 40s like me.

Now is a good tike to start investing in yourself. This time with my wisdom comes my highs and my lows. The learnings and the failures. And the ups and the down.

But mainly I'll be spreading love and compassion to help you on your health and wellness journey.

I'd be keen to know how many of you are re-investing in your health and wellness more than in the past journey. Drop a 💪in the comments if you are.

✨ I’m back! And wow, what a holiday that was. 12 nights in Sardinia left me feeling rested, reset, and recharged (with just a tiny pizza and pasta hangover 😅).

A few things I learned along the way:

1️⃣ Dancing to drum & bass for 12+ hours straight = basically a marathon (53,000 steps / 30 miles, thank you very much).
2️⃣ 15 minutes of yoga each morning does wonders—especially with a knee that doesn’t always cooperate.
3️⃣ Solo travel is liberating. The headspace and clarity it gives? Priceless.
4️⃣Synergy Super greens are a lifesaver when you’re on a 90% pizza + pasta diet 🌱.
5️⃣ The sea is my happy place. I need more of it in my life.
6️⃣ Stop. Breathe. Smell the flowers. Be present.
7️⃣ Hidden beaches? Blogs & reviews are your best friends.
8️⃣ Dining or grabbing a drink alone isn’t weired, it’s freedom (and great people-watching).
9️⃣ Sardinia’s beaches are unreal—crystal-clear water, pristine sands, and sunsets that stop you in your tracks.
🔟 Vegans: bring your own cheese to Italy. Trust me. 🧀

Feeling grateful, recharged, and full of sunshine. 🌊☀️💙

Before & After But the real transformation isn’t just what you can see.
These photos are a month apart. Yes, the bloating is visibly better, but the biggest shift has been internal. After what can in short be described as a difficult start to the year having lost two friends, I turned to comfort eating and my sadness manifested in my stomach. I also picked up what seemed to be a stomach bug of some kind from travelling which was causing sever IBS flare ups and symptoms.
When my friend told me I should do a gut cleanse I was dubious. 21 days gut cleanse. When was I going to get the chance to do this whilst working in a college and having all types of temptations shared me way. It's more than 21 days later and with the cleans being over these are the things ive noticed.
• I feel more energised 💥
• My digestion has improved💩
• I feel lighter and more connected to my body
• General mood shift is brighter and more positive (they do say the gut is connected to the brain)
• I lost 2 inches round my waist
• Dropped body fat percentage by 3%

But this isn’t about weight loss — it’s about feeling good from the inside out. Taking care of myself, listening to my body, and focusing on how I feel has made all the difference.
Your body speaks to you. I’m learning to listen.
