Savasana is the quiet love note at the end of our practice. The part where nothing is asked of you. Just radical permission to be still and rest. It’s where the nervous system exhales, where the body integrates the wisdom of every breath and movement that came before. Skipping it is like leaving a conversation before the last, most honest sentence.
In savasana, you’re not doing yoga; yoga is doing you. Muscles soften, the mind loosens its grip, and for a few minutes you remember that rest is not a reward, it’s a necessity. And a kindness.
Savasana teaches us how to rest without guilt, how to listen without effort, how to be present without performing.
Here at Tara you enjoy savasana lying outside beneath old oak trees, their branches wide and patient above you. Dappled sunlight warming your eyelids, the earth steady at your back. Your breath syncs with the slow rhythm of the trees and you rest the way nature intended: safe, held, unhurried, and completely at ease.
