Club del Levriero Ogni anno il C.d.L. L'attività sportiva dei Levrieri consiste nel Coursing (caccia simulata) e nelle Corse Amatoriali (corsa in pista). Il C.d.L. The C.d.L.

Il Club del Levriero “ha come scopo il miglioramento genetico delle popolazioni, lo studio, la valorizzazione, l’incremento e l’utilizzo delle razze levriere nelle sue varietà " (art. 1 dello statuto). organizza due Raduni di bellezza, appuntamenti cinotecnici importanti per la valutazione della selezione e dei soggetti, e quattro Mostre Speciali ai quali è usualmente presente il banco promozionale del Club. Ogni Levriero ha mantenuto intatto nei secoli il suo istinto venatorio che lo porta a compiere spettacolari performances. promuove e sostiene il settore, organizzando manifestazioni in base al Regolamento Nazionale per le Corse Amatoriali e del Coursing. Di relativamente recente istituzione da parte dell'E.N.C.I. è il Campionato Italiano di Coursing, mentre sono in attesa di approvazione i regolamenti per il Campionato Italiano di Racing ed il Campionato Sociale di Coursing. intende divulgare con tutti i mezzi a disposizione, esperienze e conoscenze d'interesse generale, risultati di prestigio, accoppiamenti e cucciolate dei i Soci. pubblica con cadenza semestrale la rivista “Levrieri”,la cui diffusione è riservata ai Soci. I contenuti sono rappresentati principalmente da articoli di interesse generale e specifico sulle razze tutelate (editi in italiano ed inglese) e dai risultati del periodo nelle manifestazioni organizzate sotto l’egida del Club. ha istituito da qualche anno una Commissione Scientifica che intende monitorare la situazione sanitaria, comportamentale, genetica dei Levrieri presenti in Italia attraverso Test rigorosamente anonimi e volontari. I risultati verranno raccolti in una Banca Dati. promuove la formazione culturale dei Soci. Il Club del Levriero, da oltre un quarto di secolo, è in continua evoluzione elaborando e progettando sempre nuove iniziative in favore dei Levrieri e del Levrierismo. Every year the Club del Levriero (C.d.L.) organizes two shows (called Raduno), which are important meeting to evaluate the selection and the subjects; and four Specialties (called Mostra Speciale or M.S.) to which usually the promotional stand of the Club takes part. For the more represented breeds, the Club organizes Monographic shows (called Raduno di Selezione) together with conferences to analyse the situation of the breed. The sport activity of the sighthounds consists in Coursing (simulated hunt) and Races (a race on a track). In the centuries sighthounds have maintained their hunting instinct – thanks to that they are able to carry out exceptional performances. promotes and supports the performance activities , with the organization of events according to the National Regulation for Races and Coursing. The Italian Coursing Championship has been recently created by the E.N.C.I., waiting for the approval of the regulation for the Italian Racing Championship and the Social Coursing Championship. aims to spread in any way experiences and knowledge of general interest, important results, mating and litters born by the Club members. issues every six months the magazine "Levrieri" ,reserved to all the members. In the magazine you’ll find above all articles of general interest and specific articles about the safeguarded breeds (issued in Italian and English) and the results of the shows organized by the Club. created some years ago a Scientific Commission to monitor the health, the behaviour and the genetic situation of the sighthounds in Italy through strictly anonymous and voluntary Tests. The results are enclosed in a Data Bank. promotes the cultural training of the members. Since more than 25 years the Club del Levriero have been continuously evolving, projecting new initiative for the sighthounds and the sighthounds lovers.

Last but certainly not least, we are pleased to introduce ANA BEATRIZ KNOLL, from Brazil, who will be judging Afghan Hounds and all breeds of the Club del Levriero at SPIAGGIA ROMEA, with the exception of Greyhounds and Whippets, completing an outstanding panel of judges for this special event.
Ana Beatriz Knoll entered the world of Cynophilia in 1980, initially attending dog shows as an enthusiast and later handling Afghan Hounds.
Around the same period, her husband, Mario Knoll, began breeding Lhasa Apsos, and together they successfully bred both breeds. Over a continuous period of 30 years (1982–2012), they bred and exhibited numerous champions in Brazil and abroad. Their kennel, Excalibur Quest, also worked with Pugs and German Spitz for a shorter time.
She has been the breeder and/or owner of multiple top-ranking winners of these breeds for many years. As a dedicated exhibitor, she achieved several Best in Show awards, group and final placements, and breed wins at prestigious shows throughout the Americas.
She has been an All-Breed Judge with the CBKC/FCI since 1995 and has officiated at numerous shows across Brazil, South America, several European countries, as well as Canada, South Africa, Australia, and Asia.
Although no longer actively breeding dogs for personal reasons, she remains deeply involved in cynophilia and is currently an owner and passionate admirer of Afghan Hounds and Standard Poodles.
Strongly involved in grooming, she served as Coordinator of the CBKC Grooming Commission and the Americas Grooming Commission from 2023 to 2025.
For the past 15 years, she has also bred Ragdoll cats under the prefix Catknoll Ragdolls.
