The mission of the Institute is to foster open transdisciplinary inquiry into current science-based conceptions of the human being and his and her world. The Institute is to bring together open-minded and dedicated scientists and lay people from all parts of the world and all walks of life, to develop the emerging ideas and communicate them to people in their particular fields as well as to society at large. This mission embraces the task of eliciting, welcoming and responding to comments and responses to the reviewed conceptions, and inviting further comments and original ideas, creating an ongoing multilogue between the members and staff of the Institute and its respondents worldwide. OBJECTIVES:
(A) The Institute seeks to become a leading-edge, internationally recognized center of research, promoting the new paradigm emerging in science and society, and exploring and disseminating its implications and applications in regard to human wellbeing and social and ecological sustainability. (B) In the more technical dimensions of the pursuit of its objectives, the Institute is to clarify the scientific basis of the emerging new paradigm, thereby enhancing its credibility and promoting its application
(C) The Institute is to create prototypes and projects that apply new paradigm methods, worldviews and principles, using the principles of the new systems sciences as conceptual framework and scientific foundation.

These historic volumes explore the history and vision of the Global Interspiritual Paradigm– discovering a Universal Spirituality in the world’s religions. Presenting a full thematic and chronological history of the interspiritual experience, 120 key global religious and spiritual thought-leaders offer their personal perspectives along with an Opening Message by H. H. the 14th Dalai Lama, a Foreword by Matthew Fox, and an Afterword by Ken Wilber. Together, these volumes share wisdom for a positive and thriving future from across all the world’s wisdom traditions.

INTERSPIRITUALITY: THE HERITAGE brings together more than 100 global contributors to explore the roots, emergence, and meaning of the interspiritualexperience—a dynamic convergence of the world’s wisdom traditions grounded in shared values of compassion, justice, unity, and love. It, along with Interspirituality: The Future, forms a historic two-volume set.
Appearing on the 25th anniversary of Br. Wayne Teasdale’s seminal work The Mystic Heart, this volume honors his prophetic vision of Interspirituality as “the common heritage of humankind’s spiritual wisdom” and “the age we are now entering.” Building on over a century of interfaith engagement, Volume 1 traces the evolution of this movement from 1999–2015, illuminating how people from diverse backgrounds are bridging traditions and rediscovering the sacred through one another.
With newly written articles, selected excerpts, abridgements, essays, and historical reflections, The Heritage captures the formative years of Interspirituality. FIELDS OF RESEARCH
Health & Medicine
Canvassing new concepts of health and disease as they appear in the work of health-professionals in both clinical and theoretical fields. Concentrating on avant-garde circles in the West, but paying due attention to parallel developments in the East, as well as in indigenous cultures.
Education
Reviewing new trends and conceptions that promote open multicultural and multidisciplinary learning rather than the traditional teaching of traditional materials. The areas to review include curriculum-development and the practical application of emerging conceptions in beyond-the-school real-world settings.
Systemic Impact & Leadership
Researching the applicability and utility of the heuristic and worldview conceptions of the systems sciences in order to find and develop models, prototypes and practical tools for ethical and sustainable practices and conceptions in business, politics, the new cultures, and society at large.
