Sitting in Autobus 52 – Borgo Vittoria – from Porta Nuova. Hiding eyes behind the light brown glasses – round frame, a French vintage model. Libertad. The lids weight heavy under the tremendous heat of this late summer afternoon. An old woman waving her… thoughts drifting away. Stopping and accelerating moves the body. Smiles. Taking notes on a cellphone – note. Not – Full stop. Punctuation mark. The synthesizers hiss, the drum machine moves, throbbing one step forward, slowly two steps backward. The dynamo on the bicycle rattles. Is this noise level normal? Gliding through the daydream in glistening bright light. Did you know that rules are less important than kindness. In fact – a couple holding hands. A blue sky. One step closer. A moment – a second – her lips, his lips. Breathe. Breathe. Everything seems gently wrapped in absorbent cotton – blurred into a surreal calm security. The long country road with the swaying poplars, church bells – from the distance the muezzin calls to morning prayers and and and tape delay. Love gentle. You perceive the swoosh in your ear, listen to the molecular rain in the forest. The earth is dry – evaporated tears and years of joy.
