✨🪷Gītā Jayanti 🪷✨
Every year, on the Ekadaśi of the bright half of the month of Margaśirśa (usually in December, this year falls today), Hindus celebrate Gītā Jayanti — the day when Lord Kriśņa revealed his teachings to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukśetra.
The Bhagavad Gītā — literally “The Song of the Splendid Lord”— is one of the most important texts in the Indian tradition.
It’s part of the Mahabharata, yet it stands on its own as a profound dialogue about life, action, and consciousness.
Through its 18 adhyāya (chapters), the Gitā unfolds the paths of Karma Yoga (the yoga of action), Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion), and Jñana Yoga (the yoga of knowledge). Together, they point toward one central truth: that our dharma — our purpose — is to act consciously, without attachment to results, and to remember the divine essence within all beings.
As practitioners, the battlefield is not (always😅) out there — it’s within us.
Every moment of doubt, every choice, every breath can become part of our sādhanā.
✨ On this Gītā Jayanti, may we all find the courage to act with clarity, devotion, and steadiness.
