E"ormai passato un mese dalla conclusione del progetto ESC di team volunteering Better Together che si è svolto a Częstochowa in Polonia, un’esperienza di mobilità internazionale promossa dall’associazione e gestita in loco dalla fondazione .

La nostra volontaria, Giulia Fani, racconta:

"La Fondazione Oczami Brata attua un programma volto a favorire l'indipendenza delle persone adulte con disabilità, proponendo un laboratorio di terapia occupazionale e un laboratorio di arteterapia a cui noi volontari abbiamo potuto contribuire e alloggi assistiti per ospitare gli individui in cura e le loro famiglie, che ci è stato permesso di visitare.

Durante la prima settimana noi volontari abbiamo avuto il compito di aiutare a preparare l'annuale Festiwal Kultury Alternatywnej e/FKA con stand ed eventi organizzati attorno a via Mielczarskiego in centro città. Offrendo numerose iniziative di teatro, musica, letteratura ed arte, l’obiettivo del festival è contribuire con ogni edizione alla rivitalizzazione sociale di quel quartiere.

Abbiamo anche contribuito alla realizzazione e svolgimento di un Picnic per la comunità locale in cui le varie associazioni e organizzazioni attive sul territorio presentavano e proponevano i loro contributi e risultati. Durante la giornata abbiamo distribuito opuscoli e informazioni ai curiosi e agli interessati, ma uno dei momenti salienti del picnic è stato proprio poter assaggiare l'autentica cucina polacca.

Alcuni dei miei momenti preferiti trascorsi insieme alle persone con disabilità durante il progetto sono stati la sessione di pittura nel Parco Narutowicz, dove ci siamo divertiti a prendere ispirazione dalla natura per realizzare dei disegni su tela, la caccia al tesoro nel Parco Pacyfik Lisiniecki con vari indovinelli interessanti e tanto divertimento all’aperto, ma anche la giornata dedicata ai piatti tradizionali delle nostre cucine nazionali, che abbiamo cucinato al centro ricreativo dopo aver fatto spesa tutti insieme.

Voglio inoltre ringraziare il team degli altri volontari che hanno contribuito a rendere questa esperienza speciale, divertente e dinamica, sono molto grata di averli conosciuti"
