More behaviors we can recognize in excellent leaders. The third point - learning to contextualize employee mindset - requires really good mood skills. Meaning the manager can see the mood you're in, recognize it for what it is, and understand how it impacts your interactions, your responses, and your performance. Not only but a great manager will also know how to help you to shift any mindsets that are getting in your way.

This is a brutal chart. And very concerning. First, look at the workers side - they still put the company first, but they recognize the importance of their own well-being to being able to deliver on the changes they want to see in the organization. Executives have clearly not understood the assignment.

Are you one of the 76% of organizations who has employee well-being as a growing priority?

Maybe you’re starting to think about needing a workplace wellness solution? Or maybe you’ve seen the data that employees are starting to expect it.

But
👉🏼 maybe you don’t have the right budget, or
👉🏼 you’re overwhelmed by the number of options and
👉🏼 know that finding and implementing the right one can take an enormous amount of time that, let’s face it, you don’t have right now.
👉🏼 Plus these programs are very costly, have low engagement rates and what happens if you pick the wrong one?

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩.

👋🏼 My name is Erika Ferszt, I’m the founder of Moodally and an internationally recognized expert in workplace wellness.

✅ ▶️ I’ve created a plug-and-play solution that provides your organization with white-label science-backed content on critical well-being and performance topics.

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ With an annual subscription, you can either choose our core curriculum program, or pick a selection of topics off-the shelf.

2️⃣ You’ll receive monthly content, including videos, short form posts, and articles that you can adapt as you see fit. (Videos cannot be modified.)

3️⃣ You then send that content, under your name, as an email blast, either as-is, or adding any additional messages that are important to your company, it’s entirely your call.

Since the content is sent from within your organization, there’s no software to download, no privacy issues, and no having to introduce third-parties into the company.

Plus our subscription is one low cost for unlimited employees.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲.

🎓 Your employees will receive evidence-based actionable advice coming from the latest scientific research in productivity, motivation, interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence…just to name a few.

🔜 Employees will learn things that many doctors and scientists don’t even know and you get the benefit of having taken an important and visible step to support your employees with a minimal time and financial investment.

👏🏼 There’s no risk and no downside.

Sample topics include:

Research shows that who you work for matters. Leaders with high emotional intelligence inspire their employees far more than bosses with low emotional intelligence. Note also the change in how I address them. Data shows that it's actually an emotional skill set that separates bosses from leaders.
Are you working for a leader or a boss?

Hmmmm....interesting numbers. My experience is that companies demonstrate something is a priority by putting money behind it. If there were no budget increases, but it was at the top of the agenda it means that something else got killed to pay for it. Companies shouldn't have to steal from Peter to pay Paul if employee well-being is truly a priority.

So at first glance, there's nothing wrong here. There's a surprising evaluation of executives thinking that HR people didn't step up enough during the pandemic to take care of employees. But my question is....are executives dumping all the responsibilities on HR? Because extensive research shows that the primary figure that impacts an employee's well-being is their boss...and the policies that come from the C-Level. So while I agree that well-being is HR's responsibility, I believe more that it is ALSO HR's responsibility, but that employee well-being is either in your culture or not in your culture. It's not only on a single function.
Who owns employee well-being in your company?

Whether you are personally affected by what’s going on in Ukraine :🇺🇦 🌻 or not, reading a lot of the language on the internet surrounding the situation is going to send panic triggers to your brain.

Given that we’re just coming off of years of having our nervous systems triggered on a daily basis, this will not help at all. ⚠️I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for your own health - physical and mental - to keep your mind in a healthy, safe, and serene space. It is so important to be able to stay in the now and focus on what you have in front of you.

While it may sound easier said than done, here’s 8 different ways you can help to keep your thoughts and body feeling calm.

Really great advice from our guest, former ESPN & NBC Sports newscaster, Rob Simmelkjaer. It can be difficult to ask for help sometimes, but as managers or entrepreneurs it's really fundamental to have a great network of people that can inspire and support you. Would you use Harvard Law School as a backup plan? Rob would!

I'm so excited to share with you this episode of Moodally Matters podcast with our friend Rob Simmelkjaer, the founder of Persona.

In this episode Rob teaches us about what to do when comfortable makes you uncomfortable, when Harvard Law is your Plan B, and how to make your own definition of well-being by living outside the box. His career spans from top law firms to ESPN to NBC news. He's been in the boardroom, the court room and in front of the camera. He's now an entrepreneur and running for public office. Where does he get his energy??

In this clip Rob recalls working with someone whose mood was hard to deal with and gives us some advice on the important role that moods have in both making a team work and making a team feel good.
