Good morning Jersey and my wonderful clients from this little Grouville salon.

As I was chatting to a client yesterday during a massage I realised I never push anyone for regular massages as I donโ€™t like to seem like Iโ€™m selling something. My personal ethos is that I donโ€™t want anyone to feel pressured in my salon as personally I donโ€™t find it relaxing to have the hard sell pushed on me.

But I also fully understand the many benefits of massage, not just easing muscle pain, but relieving stress, improving sleep, boosting the immune system, aiding in recovery after an injury, improving circulation and joint mobility.

Regular massage can mean weekly, fortnightly, monthly, every 8 weeks, but the fact is, especially in the busy age we live in, booking in advance regularly means not only do you get the appointment you like, but you donโ€™t end up going 6 months or a year before your next appointment when you realise your backโ€™s seized up and your stress levels are through the roof and muscle tensionโ€™s back to square one.

As my old boss used to say, preventionโ€™s better than cure and Iโ€™ve never forgotten that saying, with stress and muscle aches prevention and staying on top of it is better than coming in with pain and a rock solid back, mental wellbeing is more important than ever, stay on top of it, get out for that walk, meet your friends, stretch and get that massage booked in.
