That bedtime phone scroll can feel like a harmless way to switch off…
but it often keeps your brain stuck in daytime alert mode far longer than you realise.

If falling asleep feels harder than it should, try swapping the scroll for one calmer cue instead.

You don’t need a strict routine or loads of willpower.
Just one gentle signal that tells your nervous system: the day is done.

Some simple swaps:
• a few gentle stretches (on the bed or mat)
• reading a book
• listening to a calming audio, podcast or audiobook
• writing things down to clear your head
• slowing your breath with longer exhales

Small changes like these can make evenings feel noticeably calmer over time.

And 👋 if you’ve been here a while…

I’m Trix aka The Sleep Yogi, on a mission to help you sleep better, destress your life and have energy to last the day!

Previously a London finance girl, you’ll now find me walking the dog or doing yoga in Jersey (that’s the little island, not the U.S. state!)

Mum to two teenagers and Luna the cockapoo, I’m a nutrition, sleep & stress coach plus a yoga, nidra & breathwork teacher as well as being an all round promoter of healthy habits.

I genuinely own all these products and would totally recommend!

- Silk eye mask: the perfect accessory to nighttime Nidras (and the light blocking will help your sleep too!)

- Dream earplugs: I think we own every type of loops in this family but Dream are my go to for noisy hotels (and you tell me they work great to block snoring partners too!)
lights - Bodyclock Luxe: such a morning essential for me as it does a gentle “sunrise” but I’m equally addicted to the “sunset” function. Works on grumpy teenagers too!

- Deep sleep spray: this has been a family favourite for nearly two decades! And they do the most gorgeous Christmas bauble presents with perfect travel sized ones at the moment.

- Relax Tea (Blend 3): the perfect caffeine free blend for your evening routine (makes you realise what herbal tea is supposed to taste like!)
