Hope and angels for Windsor and Ricky WINDSOR WAS FOUND LYING IN A PILE OF LEAVES,COMPLETELY MATTED AND NOTHING BUT SKIN AND BONES..HE WAS ADOPTED AND HAS A WONDERFUL HOME..

WINDSOR WAS FOUND NEXT TO A DUMPSTER, IN A PILE OF LEAVES, COMPLETELY MATTED AND LITERALLY SKIN & BONES. HIS HAIR WAS SO MATTED, IT CUT THE CIRCULATION OFF TO HIS LEG SO HE CHEWED HIS REAR LEFT FOOT OFF. HE WAS RUSHED TO THE VETS, IMMEDIATELY, WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT WINDSOR WAS SUFFERING FROM SEVERE NEGLECT AND PHYSICAL ABUSE AND WAS VERY SICK.. HE WAS TREATED WITH ANTIBIOTICS AND NUTRIENTS, BUT HAD TO HAVE HIS LEFT REAR LEG AMPUTATED DUE TO COMPLICATIONS, FROM CHEWING HIS FOOT OFF....THINGS LOOKED BLEAK FOR WINDSOR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, BUT HE WASN'T ABOUT TO GIVE UP AND HE HAD A POWERFUL WILL TO LIVE.. WINDSOR WENT HOME WITH HIS NEW MOMMY AFTER HIS SURGERY AND HAS DONE EXTREMELY WELL..HE LETS NOTHING HOLD HIM BACK AND CAN RUN ON HIS 3 REMAINING LEGS ,FASTER THAN MOST DOGS RUN WITH ALL 4 LEGS..HE NOW HAS A LOVING AND DEVOTED MOMMY (GLENDA COLEMAN- MARCH),WHO HAS NURTURED WINDSOR BACK TO HEALTH ,SURROUNDED HIM WITH A LOVING FAMILY AND SWEARS THAT WINDSOR REALLY RESCUED HER!...WINDSOR NOW WEIGHS 28 LBS AND IS ENJOYING HIS NEW LIFE.

IN SEARCH OF EXPERIENCED FOSTER:

This sweet 40 pound pup brings a unique set of preferences and quirks, with a heart full of love waiting to be shared. She’s a year and a half old, healthy, up to date on medical care.

Her need is someone who has a quiet, adult only household. She needs an experienced person that is excited to work with a trainer to broaden Petunia’s comfort level with unfamiliar things. Petunia is super lovable, but fearful. She aims to please and responds well to her human’s cues and needs practice with this.

Training Triumphs so far: *Petunia is a clever girl who knows an impressive array of commands: Sit, Stay, Wait, Let's go (leash command), Come, Crate, Paw, Find it, Drop Work in Progress: Heel
*She responds well to a pursed lips call or a quick whistle for recall.

Personality/ Favorites:
*Super snuggly, and loves to cuddle even getting under the blankets
*Very affectionate and enjoys licking your face
*A joy to train, incredibly smart, and loves earning praise and treats
*Enjoys doggie food puzzles and is skilled at figuring things out
*Is goofy, loves toys and appreciates having a human companion during playtime
*Enjoys bounding after a bouncing ball in the yard!
*Medium energy- playtime in the yard, coupled with a walk and a training session leaves her content.

Petunia’s Dietary Delights:
Petunia is a gourmand with a taste for healthy snacks, enjoying a variety of veggies and fruits. Her favorite rewards include cheese and luncheon turkey. Yogurt in her Kong or lick mat, especially when frozen, adds an extra layer of happiness to her day.

Can you be Petunia’s special person? She has a lot of love to give and with time and training, she will thrive in the right home!
