PART 2 MEET THE TEAM 👇

This is Juliana our Exercise Specialist 👋

Juliana graduated from the University of Paris – Saclay in 2022, where she obtained her master’s degree in Exercise Science, with an option in Physical Activity, Exercise and Health. Since 2021, she has been rotating in various areas and positions in private rehabilitation centres in France, including cardiology, oncology, respiratory, geriatrics and orthopaedics.
After completing her master’s degree, she specialised in cardiac rehabilitation and developed a great passion for the field. In addition, she worked with the French Cardiology Federation in Ile de France, where she accompanied cardiac and long covid patients throughout their rehabilitation program.
Having an initial background in exercise science and adapted physical activity coaching, she can use her skills and build relationships with patients of different age groups and conditions, from the point of incident up to the return to a normal life. With a lot of energy and devotion, she was able to empower a lot of her patients with a contagious positivity and can-do attitude.

When you come to physio, the time we spend together is important for assessing your condition, guiding your movement, and helping reduce pain. But most of the progress actually happens between sessions, which is why your home exercises are just as important as attending your appointments

Home exercises help to 👇

- Reinforce what we work on in clinic
The exercises we give you are designed specifically for your body and your injury. Doing them regularly helps your muscles and joints remember the correct movement patterns we practise during your session.

-Build strength and stability
Recovery often requires gradual strengthening. Doing exercises a few times per week at home helps build the strength needed to support healing and prevent the problem from returning.

- Improve mobility and flexibility
Many injuries involve stiffness or restricted movement. Frequent, gentle movement at home helps restore your normal range of motion more effectively than weekly sessions alone.

- Speed up recovery
Think of physiotherapy like learning a new skill — the more consistent practice you get, the quicker your body adapts and improves.

- Keep you in control of your recovery
Your home programme puts you in an active role in your rehabilitation. Small, consistent efforts add up and can make a big difference in how quickly you return to the activities you enjoy.

- Attending physiotherapy gives you the expert guidance, but your home exercises provide the consistent practice your body needs to recover. When the two work together, you get the best possible results. 💪

Rehabilitation isn’t just about strengthening a muscle - it’s about restoring a person’s ability to perform real- life activities safely and confidently.

See below for a breakdown 👇

- It mimics real life movements
- It provides quality, not just strength
- It bridges the gap between rehab and return to activity
- It integrates the whole kinetic chain
- It builds confidence

Your feet carry you through 5–10,000 average steps a day… and we barely give them a second thought 👣

From a physio perspective, strong and mobile feet = better balance, improved posture, reduced knee/hip/back pain, and fewer injuries. Your feet are your foundation, when they’re not functioning well, everything up the chain has to compensate.

Benefits of rolling the spiky ball on your feet 👇
- Stimulates intrinsic foot muscles
- Improves circulation
- Releases plantar fascia tension
- Wakes up sleepy feet (especially if you’re in shoes all day)
Try this: 1–2 minutes rolling under each foot, gentle pressure, slow breaths. Simple. Effective. Underrated.
Healthy feet. Better movement. Stronger body. 💪

Physio rehab is built around movement, strength, and load progression. But pain, stiffness, muscle guarding, and poor tissue quality can limit how well someone can participate in their rehab. Soft tissue therapy helps address those limiting factors.

Here’s how they complement each other 👇

1. It Reduces Pain So Rehab Is Possible - If movement is painful, patients avoid loading the area properly

2. It Improves Mobility Before Strength Work - You can’t strengthen through a range you don’t have

4. It Helps Manage Flare-Ups - During rehab progression, symptoms can spike

5. It Addresses Both Mechanical & Nervous System Factors - Rehab isn’t just about tissue strength — it’s also about how the nervous system responds to movement
