We are delighted to announce we are starting a new additional clinic at Strive! The clinics will be on Wednesday afternoons, from July 7th.

We can help with accurate diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries with the most up to date evidence based advice.

We provide diagnostic ultrasound, ultrasound guided injections (including steroid, PRP and hyaluronic acid), shockwave therapy, along with access to further imaging including MRI if needed.

We’ve been having fantastic results with our new Piezowave focal shockwave machine for treating several conditions, including lateral epicondyle tendinopathy (aka tennis elbow!)

Using our clinical skills, along with diagnostic ultrasound to accurately diagnose the condition, we can then precisely mark out the affected area to deliver the treatment to.

Focal shockwave is really well tolerated with no needles and avoids complications of other treatments such as corticosteroids, which can actually have a negative effect.

The treatment is approved by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). We always combine our treatment with advice, including progressive rehabilitation plans.

Very exciting unpacking this, (I think for 5 year old Cora the boxes were far more fun!)

Focal shockwave has arrived in Jersey! It’s fantastic to upgrade our machine from radial to focal shockwave for January 2021 at the Jersey Sports Medicine and Shockwave Clinic.

Evidence-based and also following fantastic feedback from our London Musculoskeletal colleagues, we have taken the leap and purchased a focal shockwave machine.

The therapy is much better tolerated by patients and allows us to target the effected tissue very accurately by using our diagnostic ultrasound, and we can see even better results than with radial shockwave therapy.

Focal shockwave has shown fantastic results for tendinopathies such tennis and golfers elbow, patella and Achilles tendinopathy, calcific tendinitis, stress fractures and plantar fasciitis. It is a very low risk, non invasive treatment.

Dave is delighted to be able to join Adam at the Jersey Sports Medicine and Shockwave Clinic, based at Health Plus.
Adam is a Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine and Dave is a GP, with a specialist interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine, having completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Bath University in 2018.
We both have undergone specialist training in diagnostic and ultrasound guided injections of both steroid and hyaluronic acid.
