****TOYS FOR NEPAL. Sanjeevani Yoga is joining with ROKPA to take toys to the children of Nepal. Collection points will be open from 08th – 28th August. PLEASE SHARE!****
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU:
1. Find a soft toy* (preferably used or purchased from a charity shop and washed)
2. Take a label below or print off a label available on our page Sanjeevani Yoga and write a simple message like “Wishing you Peace”; “Wishing you Happiness”; “Be Strong” and attach it to the toy using string or an elastic band. Sign it and if you like attach another tag with your name and a photograph of yourself to personalise it.
3. Please take it to one of the drop off points listed below:
- Healthhaus (Hotel de France)
- The Wellness Centre (Castle Quay)
- The Museum (weekend of 15th and 16th August) when one of the trustees of ROKPA, Gelong Thubten, a Buddhist monk, will be teaching (for details of this event please contact: tstomlin@gmail.com).
We will be travelling to Nepal in September and will take these toys to various children’s homes / schools for distribution. Manju will also be teaching Cheeky Monkey Yoga to the children and training some teachers so the classes can continue when we leave. Prior to moving to Jersey Manju employed many Nepalese staff in his business in India and we were deeply affected by the scenes of devastation following the earth quake. We are delighted to have been able to join forces with ROKPA who run several charitable efforts in Nepal.
