Meet Charles, our compassionate and dedicated team member with a heart of gold.

With six years of experience in Mental Health and complex needs, Charles brings a wealth of knowledge and empathy to our team. His passion lies in making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, particularly those on islands where resources might be scarce.

Charles is not just a caring individual; he’s also a perpetual learner. With multiple qualifications in healthcare and mental health, he’s always eager to expand his understanding and skills. Whether it’s through formal education or hands-on experience, Charles is committed to staying at the forefront of his field.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Charles is a man of diverse interests. As a keen footballer, he finds joy and camaraderie on the pitch. However, there’s a curious quirk about his allegiance. While he passionately supports Rangers in the Scottish league, he occasionally finds himself questioning this choice out loud. But hey, we all have our moments of reflection, right?

In Charles, you’ll find a teammate who not only brings expertise and dedication to the table but also a warm spirit that uplifts those around him. We’re lucky to have him on our team!

🐾 Everyone Meet Our Newest Team Member – Layza! 🐾

We are so excited to introduce Layza, our beautiful German Shepherd, who is currently training to become a therapy dog specialising in crisis mental health support.

You’ll soon see Layza around the office at De Carteret House, happily receiving cuddles from the Kingsman Offices team, or joining us on our First Aid and Mental Health First Aid courses.
Layza will be supporting our training sessions by:

💙 Demonstrating CPR and seizure first aid

💙 Helping bring real-life comfort techniques into our mental health training

💙 Showing how the presence of a therapy dog can help bring someone out of crisis

We can’t wait for you all to meet her — she’s already making such a positive impact!

Welcome to the team, Layza 🐶✨
