LINC Community is a peer led mental health support group. We do not offer therapy just a friendly welcome from people that understand.

We aim to provide a safe & non judgemental space for any adults struggling with their mental health here in Jersey. We offer a range of activities to aid our wellbeing including arts & crafts, yoga, meditation, singing etc.

Who are we?

LINC stands for Living in a Networked Community. We’ve evolved since we first started, but our ethos of partnership and joint working remains the same.

Problems with our mental health can affect any of us and we know that, in caring for our mental wellbeing, we’re better when we come together. As a multidisciplinary team, this is exactly what we’ve done.

We provide a recovery focused service, operating in and for our community. Our dedicated team provide support, advice and a range of therapeutic interventions including counselling, psychotherapy and mental health nursing. Each member of LINC is qualified, experienced and registered with their respective professional body, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Counsel (NMC), British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

We recognise there is no one-size fits-all approach to mental health care. Instead, we focus on respect and collaboration. We work with you to identify where you may benefit from support and provide the most appropriate intervention for your individual needs. You may like to see us at our Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, conveniently located in the centre of St Helier, where we provide a safe, confidential space to explore your difficulties. We can also meet you at home or within the community, depending on your preference.

We also appreciate that meeting with us in person isn’t for everyone. Whether you’re juggling work and childcare, struggling to find the time or simply aren’t ready to speak with someone face to face, we provide a digital platform that can help overcome some of these obstacles – SilverCloud.

In a nutshell, SilverCloud is online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Digital CBT is recommended by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence for a variety of problems. We offer a range of different programmes, 17 in all, covering everything from depression and anxiety to body image and long-term health conditions including chronic pain and diabetes. We also have programmes specifically for young adults which focus on areas particularly relevant to them, such as exam stress. By using SilverCloud you’re able to access information and explore strategies to help you start thinking and feeling better, from any device at any time. This can be either as a self-help tool or as a supported option, where you’re in touch with a member of our team along the way. As the exclusive provider of SilverCloud for Jersey, LINC are excited to be offering this innovative service that can help offer greater choice and meet people’s needs in a more flexible way.
