"Hi, as you all know and are probably affected by the latest development of Covid-19 in some way, I like to let you know I stop giving massages for at least 14 days and will review the situation then. Your wellbeing is close to my heart and it’s better to be on the safe side than sorry afterwards. Quite a few of our clients complain about cramping muscles during exercise, an intense sport competition or even during a massage. Mainly effected seem to be the calves or feet but there is a list of complaints which could be due to magnesium deficiency, e.g. insomnia, anxiety, PMS, chronic fatigue etc. What can you do about it? Drink plenty of water, take an electrolyte supplement the night before the competition and on the day. Look out for water high in magnesium (indicated on the label of the bottle) and also a good source for magnesium is SPINACH. An estimated population of 70% suffer from magnesium deficiency. Magnesium deficiency is easy to prevent and to cure. Read more in this article.

At Bodysync many of our clients come to us because they suffer from chronic tightness in particular muscle groups. Receiving a sports massage helps immensely but you can also use other tools as well to aid recovery. One such method is foam rolling. In my opinion it is the ultimate self massage tool.

Active participation is key to your road to being free of pain. You can easily incorporate foam rolling into your exercise routine. To start out with it will likely feel uncomfortable but it becomes less painful the more you do it. I have attached a foam rolling routine for those of you that wish to give it a go.
