Trust, defined by the Oxford English Dictionary is a “firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.”
Hurt, defined by Cambridge Dictionary is “s emotional suffering caused by someone being unkind to you or the feeling that you have been treated unfairly.”
Must be wondering why I’m defining these two words. When someone trusts someone you believe that person won’t turn around and hurt you.
In the times we live in trust is in short supply while hurt runs rampant. This can lead to Depression. The World Health Organization defines depression as a “low mood or loss of pleasure or interest in activities for long periods of time. Depression is different from regular mood changes and feelings about everyday life.”
As you can see by the definition just quoted from WHO, depression is not what we go around and say ‘I’m so depressed’. It involves a deeper feeling. Sometimes it even includes self hate. Self hate leads to something many don’t really want to talk about.
Su***de.
WHO defines this “death caused by injuring oneself with the intent to die.” There is ONE death every ELEVEN MINUTES by su***de.
Broken Trust➡️hurt➡️depression➡️su***de
The next time you think of breaking someone’s trust, remember there is a cycle that you’ve started. And most times it can’t be broken and someone dies.
Think before you act!!
“Just let your word ‘Yes’ mean yes, your ‘No,’ no, for what goes beyond these is from the wicked one.”
