I’ve known you from 2022, and even though we didn’t get to do business right away, everything happened in its own time. Last year, during one of the most difficult moments in your life the loss of your grandson, and then shortly after, your father I was given the honour to serve you and your family through Duncan’s House of Final Rest.

What started as a professional connection quickly turned into something much deeper. I didn’t just gain a client I gained family. The love, respect, and trust you and your entire family showed me will never be forgotten.

You’re more than special to me. Even when I don’t check in like I should, you’re always there calling me, keeping me in line (even if it comes with a little cussing 🤭), but it’s all love at the end of the day and that’s what I truly appreciate.

It means so much to know that you and your family love my work and accept me for who I am. That kind of support is priceless.

I’m truly grateful for you every moment, every memory, every bit of love. From stranger to family, and I cherish every ounce of it.

On your special day, I just want to say: keep being the amazing woman you are. Keep shining, keep strong, and know that you are deeply appreciated and loved.

Happy 6th Anniversary to Duncan’s House of Final Rest 🤍✨

Sheriffa Duncan began her journey in the funeral industry in 2017 at just 21 years old a young woman with a vision, a purpose, and a deep faith in God. Today, at 30, I can proudly reflect on 9 years in the funeral industry and 6 years of building and owning my own business.

This journey has not been easy. It has been filled with challenges, growth, disagreements, and defining moments that tested my strength. From starting alongside my aunt, to going my own way and rebranding from Duncan’s House Of Rest, to Duncan’s HOUSE OF Tranquility, and now proudly known as Duncan’s House of Final Rest every step has shaped me into the woman and business owner I am today.

There were hard days, good days, and unforgettable moments shared with clients and staff. But through it all, one thing has remained constant faith. Faith in God, faith in my purpose, and faith in the path I was called to walk.

Everything I have today is because of answered prayers. The business, the clients, the growth answered prayers. Even when the journey felt uncertain, God was already working behind the scenes.

Six years into owning my business, I stand proud knowing that I proved to myself: I can, and I will.

This journey is not easy, and it is far from over. But it is meaningful. We are growing, we are evolving, and we are walking into success, building character, and embracing joy and fulfillment.
