Do you have a bag? Many would answer yes or no depending on the circumstance.A few may ask "what for?' Then the explanation , Oh to put some money/food/toys/ rubbish or something to keep secure or something to discard. But how many would say "yes" I want a bag to put some pooh, Believe it or not there are many persons going around carrying a bag. people of all ages, from infants to elderly people wear a bag and are enjoying a better life with their bag.
If they had some sort of bowel surgery they are likely to wake up with a bag stuck to their side. In young children it might be there for months or up about three years. However, the "how long?" is determined by the reason for the surgery. But they will continue to grow and develop as a regular child. While the bag is collecting the drainage of stool or urine ,life goes on. The adult with the bag gradually adapt to the new "closer than a brother friend" sticking bag. Some adults have even chosen to keep the bag against closing the stoma after their condition have improved. This comment could be, Well, I don't have to wipe and wpie after toileting I simply BAG it.
