Increasing Jamaicans access to sexual and reproductive health information; especially the vulnerable and under-served or just anyone who requires counselling in relationship, parenting,family life,contraception, and HIV. This counselling service is managed by trained Counsellors, providing clients with easy access to information. Services are provided via face-to-face, telephone, write-in and soci
al media. Persons wishing to have a private, confidential session with a Counsellor can make an appointment or visit the office during opening hours. MRCS maintains a referral system with appropriate agencies within the country. Referrals are made for the following services – antenatal care, receipt of contraceptives not issued at the NFPB, STI/HIV counselling and testing, child welfare, skills training/education, domestic violence, drug abuse, sexual abuse and other services. One of our major means of providing SRH counseling and services is through our regular outdoor activities, in collaboration with other entities in schools, faith-based organizations and communities. These range from health fairs and rap sessions to presentations and counseling sessions. This has been the major means of reaching the target population and we have seen the need for this kind of service by the numerous invitations that we have been receiving. SRH Counselling Service
