The 876 Mother-Daughter Project

The 876 Mother-Daughter Project The 876 Mother-Daughter Project is a Jamaican/Caribbean-centric, global network of mothers, daughters and their well-wishers.

It provides mothers and daughters with information, tools and resources designed to enhance the mother-daughter relationship. The bond between mothers and daughters is a dynamic and often complex one, with far-reaching implications for good mental health. Despite conflicts and complicated emotions, the mother-daughter bond is so strong as to be unbreakable. Therefore, whether she is biological or

surrogate, a mother is the best person to teach a young girl how to become her best, most capable, adult self. The truth is, however, that busy, working, mothers everywhere, trying to balance a career and family in the 21st. century – including stay-at-home mothers – often worry that they are not doing a good-enough job of preparing their children for adulthood. Mothers with daughters believe they have a much more daunting task than their mothers before them, as the world changes so rapidly. The good news is, it is possible to tap into the vast, global, inter-generational and timeless resource of Mother-Wisdom for the benefit of mothers and daughters everywhere. Ergo: The 876 Mother-Daughter Project.
