Starting August first, residents of Gainesville will need to keep their plastic bags or buy a reusable one. Wednesday night, Gainesville City Commission unanimously voted to do away with single-use plastic bags and polystyrene containers.

A project that seeks to protect our environment and afford employment to persons with physical disability.

The aim is to change old fabric or clothing to paper products as a method of recycling. The end product can be used for arts and crafts, books, printer paper, shopping bags and other products.
