Bikram Yoga Jamaica | First Bikram Yoga studio in Jamaica & the Caribbean! There are over 600 Bikram Yoga studios across the globe, including 300 in the US.

Opened in the Spring of 2014, Bikram Yoga Jamaica will establish the first Bikram Yoga studio in the Caribbean. Our vision is to bring this healing practice to the region, beginning with Jamaica, and to share it as widely as possible with locals and tourists alike. By providing elite yoga technique and training in this unique yoga style, Bikram Yoga Jamaica sets itself apart from all other yoga studios in the area. About Bikram Yoga
Yoga is an ancient discipline that explores, develops, and integrates the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga systematically stretches and strengthens muscles throughout the body, increases circulation to internal organs and glands, quiets the nervous system, and improves concentration. This ancient system of self-care brings vitality, health, deep relaxation, and peace of mind. Bikram Yoga, also known as "hot yoga", is a specific type of yoga developed by Bikram Choudhury. Classes are held in a hot, humid room (105o F) allowing the student to safely work deep into the muscles, tendons, and ligaments while releasing toxins and congestion from the body. It was developed by Bikram Choudhury (disciple of Bishnu Ghosh who was brother of Paramahansa Yogananda ), a national yoga champion of India as a child. Bikram Yoga Jamaica will be the first Bikram Yoga studio in the Caribbean. Yoga is a growing trend. It was popular in the seventies and has come back full force into vogue in the 21st century as an effective and proven form of exercise. Movie stars such as Madonna, Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, and Sting are advocates of the discipline and many athletes credit yoga for improvement in their career, for example, Andy Murray, David Beckham and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. The key to success within the yoga business is the quality of the instructor. Bikram Yoga Jamaica will focus on presenting our Yoga Center as the perfect place to learn yoga skills that will improve the student physically and reduce the daily stress of the work world. There may be other yoga studios in the area, but will not be able to match the level of instruction and the custom-designed facilities required for maintaining the environment for “hot” yoga.

As we reflect on 2025, we recognize that it was a challenging year for many. Through it all, we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support, dedication, and resilience of our community. Your commitment to your practice and to one another is what continues to define Bikram Yoga Jamaica.

We would especially like to thank the members of the BYJ Inferno Club, whose consistency and passion truly embodied the spirit of BYJ. Your love for hot yoga and your commitment to showing up throughout the year did not go unnoticed.
