The Louis Grant Medical Centre (formerly FISH Clinic) serves a wide cross-section of the community offering eye, dental, medical, antenatal, children’s clinic, counselling, pharmacy, and diagnostic testing Clinic was founded in 1985, as a community empowerment facility by the late Professor Louis Grant, Professor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies, a Microbiologist and social activist, to meet the needs of low income patients. As a non-government-organization, F.I.S.H. operates without government support and serves a wide cross section of the immediate and wider communities. Fees are much less than in the private sector and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Core functions include the following areas:
