Our 12 bed nursing home for seniors in the cool hills of Mandeville, Jamaica provides care services for adults over 65 years. The house is modified to assist the safety of our people and is pleasantly decorated as a rather nice home. Typically our residents live with us continuously and suffer from dementia (of which Alzheimer’s is a category) or are at the end stage of other chronic diseases. We also help families who want to leave their loved ones with us for a day, a week or a month....
So we provide round the clock care in all the activities of daily living as they may be needed. This includes: bathing, dressing, feeding, medication supervision, exercises and such entertainment as the resident might enjoy or participate in. While we do not offer acute care, we can help with re-hydration via drip. We also offer oxygen therapy as needed and can do suction when necessary. Our nurses are also able to do tube feeding either by naso-gastric tube or a ‘peg’ directly into the stomach. Our meals are prepared almost always from scratch using wholesome Jamaican food on site.
Our fees are inclusive of most things as well as routine doctor visits and RN supervision as well laundry services, etc. Clients are responsible for medication, adult diapers and specialist clinical care such as physiotherapy.
