Long before you hold them in your arms, your baby is already experiencing you - in quiet, powerful ways.
✨Your touch
Gentle belly rubs, warmth, and pressure can feel calming and familiar over time.
✨Your movements
Walking, swaying, stretching, or resting -your rhythms help lull your baby and shape their sense of balance.
✨ Your emotions
Moments of calm, stress, joy, and rest all create subtle changes your baby can sense. Your wellbeing matters too.
✨Your voice
Your voice becomes the most recognizable sound, often bringing comfort both before and after birth.
✨Your heartbeat
A steady, constant sound that surrounds your baby — one of the first rhythms they ever know.
From the very beginning, connection is already happening. You’re not just growing a baby - you’re building a bond.

The cervix is often overlooked until something feels off. But it plays an active role in how your body protects itself, adapts, and communicates.
It changes over time, responds to hormonal shifts, and works closely with the pelvic floor and nervous system. Sensation and pain in this area are real and deserve attention.
Understanding what is typical, what is not, and when support can help is part of caring for your whole pelvic health.

POSTPARTUM EXERCISE GUIDE 🏃🏾♀️
Exercise in the postpartum should be an important part of recovery for new mamas:
• It helps restore strength, fitness, and posture after childbirth, and can also boost mood and energy. A win-win!
✨Generally, it’s recommended to wait at least 6 weeks after giving
birth before doing more vigorous exercise.
✨ But gentle movement like walking, stretching, breathing exercises, and pelvic floor rehabilitation can usually start sooner, as long as you feel comfortable and pain-free.
Start slowly and listen to your body.
The goal isn’t to get back to your pre-baby body, but to feel strong, healthy, and confident in your own skin.
Always check with your doctor, nurse or physio before starting or progressing any exercise program postpartum.
Focus on your wellbeing, not shape. ♥️

🌶️Yes - spicy food is generally safe during pregnancy.
Safe if you’re comfortable with it: If you ate spicy food before pregnancy and your body handles it well, you can usually keep eating it.

✨LABOUR FEARS ✨
The thought of being vulnerable, exposed, and relying on others
during labour can feel so intimidating.
Even when you remind yourself that millions of women have done this before, it is very personal and life changing.
As the day gets closer, it’s hard not to feel that mix of excitement, fear, and uncertainty, is completely normal.
Here are a few things that helped me feel more grounded and
confident:
* Have a birth plan - plan ahead, know your rights, and share your choices with the medical team.
* Childbirth classes - Understanding what’s happening can ease th fear of the unknown
* Visualisation - Imagining a calm, positive birth experience
* Breathing exercises - the foundation for an easier birth experience
** Meditation - finding a moment of calm in the chaos ir Hypnobirthing - building confidence, teaching how to relax and trust your body
*Positive affirmations - small reminders that you are capable (use
post-its, record them on your phone, share them with your partner)
* Journaling - A safe space to pour out fears, hopes, and emotions
If you’re feeling scared, your body was made for this.
