Had an amazing time celebrating and networking .yerbabruja 20th anniversary gala with my Sorority Sister Hypatia, I am so proud of the work she is doing at this organization. This past Saturday we had our grand reopening celebration and many of our loved ones were able to see our space and celebrate with us. I’m so thankful to have amazing friends and family that support us in so many ways. We are looking to hire more therapists. We are currently looking to also rent office space to different types of industries including other therapists, lawyers, psychiatrist, NPs. We are so excited to now be open for business in person and via zoom.

February of 2020 I made a big decision to get into a partnership with a friend. He was in the process of starting a mental health clinic. I took a leap of faith and went all in. Then 1 month later…boom… pandemic hits. We didn’t know how all these new changes were going to affect us but we kept on moving forward.
These past 2 years have been quite a ride. Many ups and downs but we have created an awesome company the staff and interns we have are amazing. We are so blessed to have made it this far even with all the barriers and challenges we have endured.
I’m so grateful to be on this journey and happy to share with you our renovated location in Queens, NY. We have a total of 12 office spaces, 1 group room and 4 admin offices.

My name is Luz Oviedo, I am a psychotherapist, LCSW-R, SIFI. I’m the proud owner of a private practice Social Butterflies Psychotherapy LCSW PLLC and part owner of a mental health clinic Creative Care Group Inc .

Life is an adventure full of ups and downs. Some things in life are in our control and so much about life isn’t. The important thing that I have learned is that whatever comes my way it’s how I react that matters. This past year has definitely gone a lot different than I could have ever imagined. But I made the best of it and boy as difficult as some moments have been It has been my most productive year ever, I have seen more growth and wisdom than I have in most of my life. I have to say that I’m so proud of my resilience, perseverance and accomplishments in the first year of my 40s and I’m amazed that I did it during the pandemic 😂. I’m full of sooooo much gratitude for all my friends and family that surround me, some that I speak to a few times a year and some more regularly, regardless I have so much love for all of you. I’m grateful for the outpour of birthday wishes on social media, calls and texts. I feel so loved, so full of life. I am ready to make this year even better than the last. I’m grateful that I was able to spend my birthday with my beautiful kids and my wonderful family. For year 41, I ask God to continue to guide me, protect me and my loved ones and provide me with peace and wisdom. I pray that we continue to remember what’s really important in life because it’s really so short in the grand scheme of things. Here’s to making the best out of life!!

I’m inspired daily by all the amazing ladies in my life, near and far. Thank you for blessing me with your awesomeness, your friendships, your uniqueness, your strength, guidance, wisdom, inspiration and above all love. Thank you and my beautiful sisters , may we all continue growing, improving, and continuing to be a great example to our future generations.

So proud of my babies. They did it!! Crushed this school year, despite all the changes and adjusting to remote learning. They were blessed to have an awesome team at PS/IS 87. The teachers were so dedicated and as hands on as they could be. I’m happy that this year is over now, we all could use a vacation. Congratulations to all the graduates of 2020 and to all the kids that did their best throughout everything going on nationally and worldwide. 🎓
