This might be a controversial take but did you know that a mammogram is NOT crucial for diagnosing all types of breast cancer? It is absolutely important for women of average risk. They definitely should get regular screening done as it is a proven method to reduce mortality by finding cancer early. However, it does not detect all types of Breast Cancer. Yes there are different types of Breast Cancer. We will discuss them in our upcoming posts.

On October 23 we had planned on being a part of a Cancer Awareness Day Symposium for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the Manning’s PTA in Savannah la Mar, Westmoreland. Unfortunately due to the closing of all schools because of Hurricane Melissa, we were unable to do so.
Thanks to Sandals Foundation and American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ), we have still allocated some mammogram vouchers to be presented to them at a later time and date. Thank you for your continued support.
