Jamaica is now experiencing an outbreak of leptospirosis following Hurricane Melissa, with six suspected deaths so far, Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton has disclosed. During a press conference this morning, the health minister stated that nine cases of the disease have been confirmed, and there are 28 suspected or probable cases from October 30 to November 20. He said the deaths reported are from the suspected cases.

The NHF now provides, for every female above 21 years old, a subsidy of $1300, every 3 years, to do their Pap Smears. They also provide, for all men, above 40 years old, a subsidy of $1600, every year, to do their PSA.
All you have to do is visit your doctor, to have your NHF form completed, and take it to the NHF offices to collect your card. You then go to a participating provider and or Lab, to access your subsidy.
Come in and get registered.
There's now no reason to not do your screenings.
