*Healing After Hurricane Melissa – Mental Health Support 💚*

We’re hosting the FIRST of many FREE special 90‑minute workshops at the in Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth, to help our community recover emotionally from Hurricane Melissa.

*What’s the workshop?*
A judgement‑free, supportive group where you’ll learn about trauma, pick up coping skills, and rebuild connection with others.

*Why it matters*
The goal is to restore stability and hope using culturally grounded, evidence‑informed approaches that fit our Jamaican experience.

*Facilitators*
Dr. Ruth C. White, PhD, MPH, MSW, RSW – a stress‑management expert and psychotherapist who grew up in Black River and is dedicating this session to her beloved St. Bess community.

BARRELS COME - for many here in Jamaica when barrel come big tings a gwan!

FREE BEND DOWN MARKET ON 11/27 Thursday 9am-2pm
This is the first of many shipment to come with free clothes and a few household items for the communities most in need our communities of focus - they were hit hard with Hurricane Melissa.

Most persons in these communities worked and attending schools in
📍Black River , a major hub for work and schools in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, has been severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa, leaving these communities cut off.

The storm caused widespread destruction, including damaged roads, power outages, and flooding, making it difficult for residents to access the supplies that they need just for day to day survival, the home-less population is at a all time high.
What we have seen and inquired about is how are persons living, one yard had 6 houses on it, only ONE is left standing so a small house is housing over 15 persons, the love and support for their community is so wonderful to see and how they look out for each other - THAT’S MY JAMAICA 🇯🇲.
Supporting these families with water, food, clothing and household supplies is just a start .
Thanks for pouring into us here so we can support these communities.

We really need to look at self sustainability, food security this should be our focus to be in a position to help our neighbors and those in need!

Standing Bow Pose (Dandayamana Dhanurasana):
Strengthens legs, stretches shoulders & chest, and improves balance. This pose cultivates focus, poise, and inner calm. Practice regularly for enhanced flexibility & mental clarity!

Over the years of cultivating my personal practice it’s always my go to to get grounded and still reach to higher highs
