Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Vascular Clinic Nurse to support a vascular surgery practice. The role combines clinical nursing care, procedure assistance,and clinic coordination, with a strong focus on patients with peripheral vascular disease, diabetic foot, venous disease, and post-operative vascular follow-up.
The ideal candidate will help ensure efficient clinic flow, patient safety, and continuity of
vascular care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Vascular-Specific Duties
Assist the vascular surgeon during consultations, wound care, and minor procedures.
Perform and document vascular assessments (vital signs, peripheral pulses, ABI assistance if applicable)
Assist with diabetic foot care, ulcer assessment, and advanced wound dressings.
Prepare patients for minor vascular procedures (debridement, sclerotherapy assistance,
AV fistula care if applicable).
Post-procedure monitoring and patient education
Apply compression therapy (bandaging, stockings education).
Maintain strict infection control and sterile techniques
Patient Coordination & Clinic Flow.
Manage appointment scheduling and triage (urgent ischemia, infected wounds, post-op
patients).
Coordinate imaging (Doppler ultrasound, CTA/MRA referrals).Follow up on lab and imaging results and flag urgent findings.
Educate patients on vascular disease, foot care, smoking cessation, and medication
compliance.
Coordinate hospital admissions or procedures when required.
Clinic Operations & Administration.
Maintain accurate and organized vascular patient records (paper or EMR).
Track procedural consents and follow-up schedules
Manage inventory of vascular-specific supplies (dressings, compression materials,
catheters, disposables).
Support insurance approvals for procedures, imaging, and admissions.
Assist with clinic audits, quality improvement, and protocol implementation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) (local license required).
Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience (vascular, surgical, wound care, or diabetic foot experience strongly preferred).
Experience in outpatient or specialty clinics.
Basic understanding of vascular pathologies (PAD, DVT, venous insufficiency, diabetic foot).
Good computer and documentation skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Preferred Skills.
Experience with wound care products and advanced dressings.
Familiarity with Doppler studies or vascular lab workflows.
Ability to recognize red flags (acute ischemia, infection, sepsis).
Calm, empathetic approach with chronic and elderly patients.
Arabic fluency required; English proficiency preferred.
