Today at Reem Hospital, we proudly hosted a full-day specialized CME training in collaboration with Special Olympics UAE on how to effectively support and care for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID), (DD) — part of our commitment to advancing inclusive healthcare for People of Determination (POD) in the UAE 🇦🇪.
The training focused on: ✅ Understanding behavioral and communication needs
✅ Creating a respectful, sensory-aware care environment
✅ Promoting dignity in medical settings
✅ Building confidence in healthcare teams to ensure inclusive and compassionate care
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s national vision for inclusion and reflects our ongoing dedication to enhancing healthcare accessibility, empathy, and excellence for all.
