Our team was thrilled to join MESPO 2025 in Khobar, KSA, connecting with leading experts in pediatric otolaryngology for innovative discussions and collaborations.

Dr. Aya AlJazi delivered an insightful lecture on “Interdisciplinary Collaboration in the Treatment and Management of Velopharyngeal Dysfunction.”

We also had the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with ENT specialists, speech therapists, and audiologists from different countries.

نريد تسليط الضوء على رحلة عبدالله المذهلة باستخدام جهاز التواصل البديل الخاص به!
AAC - التواصل المعزز والبديل - هو أي أداة أو نظام أو استراتيجية تدعم التواصل للأفراد الذين يواجهون صعوبة في استخدام الكلام اللفظي، تتنوع من لوحات الصور إلى الأجهزة عالية التقنية (مثل تلك التي يستخدمها عبدالله).
إن التواصل المعزز و البديل يسد الفجوة بين الأفكار والتعبير، مما يمنح الأفراد صوتاً يمكن فهمه مع مختلف الأشخاص والمواقف.
إنه يمكّن التّواصل والاستقلال والانتماء - لأن الجميع يستحقون أن يسمعوا.

In honor of AAC Awareness Month, we want to highlight Abdullah’s amazing journey with his AAC device! AAC — Augmentative and Alternative Communication — is any tool, system, or strategy that supports communication for individuals who have difficulty using verbal speech. From picture boards to high-tech devices (like the one Abdullah is using), AAC bridges the gap between thoughts and expression, giving individuals a voice that can be understood across settings, people, and situations. It empowers connection, independence, and belonging — because everyone deserves to be heard.

AAC supports the development of both expressive and receptive language, empowering individuals to share their thoughts while also improving their ability to understand others.

By raising awareness about AAC, we aim to break misconceptions and promote the understanding that AAC does not replace speech — it builds it.

Together, let’s advocate for every voice and recognize the power of communication in all its forms. 💙

أكتوبر — شهر التوعية بالتواصل البديل والمعزز (AAC)

في مركز بذور الأمل، نؤمن أن التواصل أعمق من مجرد كلمات.
فالتواصل البديل والمعزز ليس مجرد وسيلة للتعبير، بل هو طريق للفهم والتعلم والتواصل الحقيقي.

يساعد الـ AAC في تطوير اللغة التعبيرية والاستقبالية، حيث يمنح الأفراد القدرة على التعبير عن أنفسهم، وفي الوقت نفسه يعزز قدرتهم على فهم الآخرين.
