Lumbar Congenital partially segmented hemi vertebra between L1 And L2

Total excesion from posterior with fusion between T12 and L3
Walking 2nd day post op
Discharged 5th day post op

Ana Congenital bony abnormalities and concave side fusion and myelomeningiocele
Operated by correction and fusion from T5 to L4
Avoiding the meningiocele
And removing the bony abnormalities

10 yr old child
Bullet injury :inlet Rt shoulder
Outlet :lt lower Thorax
Transfered 1 day post injury from peripheral hospital
ASIA B:sensory OK 'No motor below level
Fixation done from T3 to T10 with wide decompression and removal all bony fragment from the canal
Spinal Cord grossly intact
Hopefully motor will recover
هذه الحاله لطفل عمره 10 سنوات
للاسف تلقى رصاصة عن طريق الخطأ في احد المناسبات
المدخل من الكتف اليمين والمخرج من أسفل الصدر الأيسر
كسور في الفقرتين الصدريتين السادسة والسابعة وتضرر الحبل الشوكي نتيجة العظام المتفتته الضاغطة على الحبل الشوكي
يوجد احساس في الساقين وللأسف لايوجد حركة
تم تثبيت العمود الفقري وإزالة الضغط والعظام المتفتته من حول الحبل الشوكي
نتمنى أن يستعيد هذا الطفل الحركة في ساقيه كاملة أن شاءالله أو بشكل جزئي مستقبلا
سيتم إضافة أي تطور على الحاله مستقبلا أن شاءالله

Our case today is for childhood scoliosis,where we cannot fuse the spine to prevent disproportionate growth between limbs and the trunk.
So in these cases we insert a growing rod that is expanded every 4-6 months
Until adulthood ,when you can fuse the spine as it reaches reasonable length.
Our system is called VEPTR.
من حالات جنف العمود الفقري عند الأطفال قبل البلوغ سواء اكانت لأسباب عصبية او تطوريه او أسباب غير معروفه،حيث يفضّل عدم تثبيت العمود الفقري لمنع حدوث قصر في الجذع مقارنة بطول الأطراف حيث يسمح هذا الجهاز بتطويل الجذع كل ٤-٦ شهور والسماح بالنمو الطبيعي للفقرات بالطول للمحافظة على تناسق طول الجذع مع الأطراف
والهدف الرئيسي من هذا الجهاز هو إعطاء المساحة الكافية لنمو الرئتين ومنع ضمورها
هذا الجهاز يسمى جهاز فيبتر
