Since 1981, Consulting Medical Laboratories in Jordan has been both a pioneer and leader in the different fields of pathology and laboratory medicine through driving innovative, highly ethical, state of the art and comprehensive approaches to the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine in the private health sector of Jordan. CML, through its working teams of professionals, has fulfilled many ambitions for the profession in the private medical sector of Jordan through use of most up-to-date technology and support of research and education at all levels for both medical and technological professionals by use all modern means available to-day. Our Objectives
CML has been created, from its outset, as an institution to provide the highest standard of medical laboratory service for the public in the private medical sector of Jordan. Training and standard of practice by CML employees rank high among priorities with full support of junior staff by senior members as well as CML specialists in the various fields. Provide a model of good practice to our colleagues in the fields of pathology and laboratory medicine on the one hand and medical colleagues as well as the general public on the other. Partake in educational activities by the Jordan Medical Association societies, local, regional and international societies. CML adopts the policy of supporting its members to attend meetings, conferences and all educational activities that will improve the quality of performance. Research activities are essential part of practicing our specialties within the framework of the CML and publications in all the branches of pathology and laboratory medicine are basic requirement, favoring original works especially those related to local or regional health problems. Our Mission
To offer state of art, high quality and comprehensive pathology and medical laboratory service to CML customers, both in Jordan and outside. Ethical issues, such as patient privacy and so on in CML practice, are strictly adhered to and special emphasis is made by the governing body of CML to serve its customers in the best way possible, if necessary by asking aid from the most senior professionals available at the time. Team spirit is an essential tool in CML operations, targeting optimal service for our customers, or alternatively running meaningful research programs, by highly qualified personnel with special expertise in different fields of pathology and laboratory medicine. Codes of ethics as dictated by our medical body and health authorities dictates all operations and practices in CML. Our Quality Policy:
The role of the (CML) Consulting Medical Laboratories is to support patients, doctors and other healthcare providers through rapid and reliable analysis of clinical specimens; to provide advice on the appropriateness, interpretation and limitations of different tests; to develop our service by responding to the needs of the clients, to evaluate and employ new techniques and instrumentations. Our laboratory management system has policies and procedures, which constantly monitor the three phases of analysis to ensure quality in the whole testing process - from blood collection to reporting of test results. Our internal quality control program helps to check on the accuracy and precision of our results. It also helps our staff to make daily decisions on accepting or rejecting an analytical run. We also participate in external quality assessment schemes and run our own Proficiency Testing (Inter Laboratory Quality Control) Programs. Besides providing a peer review of our performance, it also provides an indication of the precision in our testing process and competence of our staff. We operate, maintain and calibrate our instruments according to manufacturers' instructions. Through our quality management system, we evaluate the quality and appropriateness of our services. Internal audits conform to our quality management system. Our staff members are well informed about our quality management system and standards of the ISO 15189, able to follow up all adapted procedure, and regularly monitored for proper implementation of the system. Our staff is trained in our quality management system in accordance to rules and regulations of the authorities. Continual development of human resource is maintained through close supervision by senior members of staff, bench training, promoting sound attitude, lectures and extra-curricular activities.
