You don’t have to be chained by the past.
Just because you used to do things a certain way before, doesn’t mean you have to keep on doing things that way.
You can change.
If I could go back in time and whisper a word of advice to my 38-year old self in this photograph, it would be this:
“Learn to fuel your heart with encouragement.
Be careful what you read, what you listen to, what you watch, who you surround yourself with, how you talk to yourself, and what you visualize. These things can bring powerful positivity into your life, or they can bring about suffering , doubt, and fear.”
If you’re a person of faith, you have an in redoble source of support to tap into daily.
None of us have to go it alone.
Find a friend, find a support group, reach out for help, and start filling up your life with encouragement.
I hope this little photo lifts you up a little.

Several fitness modalities actually benefit from the use of a mirror. Barre fitness being one of them. You’re able to see your posture to visually correct your alignment and to use it for feedback along with coaching instruction. You’re able to match what you see with what you feel.

Common cueing questions I ask clients:
👉🏼 How does proper alignment feel in my body?
👉🏼 Does what I see look like what I’m feeling?

💁🏻‍♀️TIP: Next time you do a workout at home consider putting a mirror near you to double check your alignment. Is what you see in the mirror match what you’re feeling in your body. Learning to be okay with your reflection —- non-judgmental, curious, and kind is a graceful and humbling skill.

📑NOTE: Notice the one barre student in the background smiling. Learning to be OK and embrace what you see is one of my greatest joys in coaching clients. You are more than what you see. And the confidence you gain by listening and honoring your body is a core value of
