📢Signs of disc herniation
Symptoms of a herniated disc usually appear on one side of the body and depend on the location of the disc as well as the extent of the herniation (whether or not it is pressing on a nerve). You can recognize the disease early based on some of the following basic symptoms:
📢Hurt
Pain is the "specialty" of herniated disc. If the herniated disc is in the neck, you will feel the most pain in the shoulders, neck and arms. If the herniated disc is in the lower back, the pain will be concentrated in the buttocks, thighs, calves, and feet.
The pain increases when you cough, sneeze, or move. And pain in a herniated disc is described as burning.
📢Numbness and tingling
People with a herniated disc often experience numbness or tingling in the part of the body where the pinched nerve runs through. In stage 2, when the mucus nucleus tends to move, numbness in the hands and feet has begun to appear, but most people often ignore this signal.
📢Muscle weakness
Muscles are closely linked to nerves, so when nerves are damaged, they also weaken. This makes you more likely to stumble while walking and reduce your ability to support and hold.
You may confuse the symptoms and signs of a herniated disc with some other medical condition or problem. Therefore, going to a reputable hospital for diagnosis is really necessary, both to help detect the disease early and accurately identify the problem you are having.
