Akiba Fukurou aims to create a space where owls and people can spend a cozy time together with mutual respect. Our cafe is ''By Reservation-Only, Limited Seating, and Short Opening Hours'' in order to give first priority to the owls' care. We hope you can fully enjoy the worldview of Akiba Fukurou in this warm and quiet space with its white interior...

Interacting with relaxed, adorable owls make many people smile, and we think owls can heal our tired hearts like therapy. Then, we apply the healing effects of 《Classical Music, Sconce Lighting, and White Colors》 to our room so that our guests can experience 'a soothing fantasy'. As a part of our perfomance, every flow of background music has its own theme, and we go along with the story for 1 hour. The number of guests will be【limited to small groups,and our room is provided by reservation only】so that the guests can spend a cozy time. 🟢 Understanding the Care of an Owl’s Beak and Talons
Owls, like all birds of prey, possess sharp talons and a strong beak, both designed for hunting and defense. While these features are iconic symbols of their predatory nature, they can also pose risks to both the owls and the humans interacting with them. In captivity, talons grow continuously, much like human nails. Unlike in the wild, where natural activities like landing on branches wear down their talons, captive owls require regular trimming to prevent overgrowth. Overgrown talons are not just dangerous for handlers but can also harm the owl. Excessively long talons may snag on objects, leading to injuries, broken talons, or even bacterial infections such as Bumble foot, which occurs when the skin on their feet becomes damaged. To ensure the owl's well-being and safety, professional care is necessary to maintain proper talon length. If you are concerned about handling an owl or touching its talons, remember that gentle and respectful interaction, combined with professional maintenance, minimizes risks. Always approach owls with calmness and respect for their natural instincts, as understanding their needs fosters a safe and meaningful connection.
