We are delighted to welcome Dr. Yunlu Jia, MD, PhD (Department of Medical Oncology, The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, China), who will be joining the National Cancer Center Hospital as a visiting scholar from 17 July to 11 October 2025.
In a recent interview, Dr. Jia shared her goals and reflections on this visit:
Why she came to NCC
“My main goal is to learn from NCC’s advanced experience in clinical trial design and ex*****on, particularly in the fields of precision oncology and immunotherapy. I also hope to observe how multidisciplinary teams collaborate in daily practice.”
What she hopes to learn
“I would like to gain practical knowledge in patient enrollment and follow-up, translational research strategies bridging basic science and clinical practice, and the management of investigator-initiated clinical studies in Japan.”
On differences between China and Japan
“In Japan, I see a strong emphasis on standardization, protocol adherence, and patient-centered communication. In China, while the patient volume is larger and time pressure greater, this allows for rapid recruitment in clinical studies. Each country has unique strengths we can learn from one another.”
Looking ahead
“I hope to build long-term collaborations between NCC and Zhejiang University, especially in cholangiocarcinoma and breast cancer research. Together, we can accelerate progress in precision oncology and improve patient outcomes in both countries.”
国立がん研究センター中央病院では、2025年7月17日から10月11日まで、浙江大学医学院附属第一医院（中国）腫瘍内科より 賈 雲路（Yunlu Jia）先生 を客員研究員としてお迎えします。
インタビューで、賈先生は今回の滞在に込めた思いを語ってくださいました。
来日目的について
「精密医療や免疫療法における臨床試験のデザインと実施について、NCCの豊富な経験から学びたいと考えています。また、多職種チームがどのように連携して診療を行っているのかを見てみたいです。」
学びたいこと
「患者登録やフォローアップ、基礎研究と臨床をつなぐトランスレーショナルリサーチ、そして日本における医師主導治験の運営方法について、実践的に理解を深めたいと思っています。」
日中の違いについて
「日本は標準化やプロトコル遵守、患者中心のコミュニケーションを大切にしています。一方、中国は患者数が多く、迅速な症例登録が可能です。両国はそれぞれの強みから学び合うことができると感じています。」
今後の展望
「胆管がんや乳がん研究を中心に、浙江大学とNCCとの長期的な共同研究を進め、精密医療の発展と両国の患者さんの利益に貢献したいです。」
