TEMDEC hosted Associate Professor Sisira Edirippulige from Center of Online Health, University of Queensland, Australia. The two-month JSPS fellowship. The two-month JSPS Fellowship, “Needs Analysis on Competencies to Use Information Technology in Japanese Medical Education,” was selected through the JSPS Invitational Fellowships for Research in Japan. We conducted a scoping review and qualitative research, making it a very rewarding opportunity!

TEMDECは、オーストラリア・クイーンズランド大学オンラインヘルスセンターのシシラ・エディリプリゲ准教授を迎えました。JSPS外国人招聘者事業における採択を受け、「日本の医学教育における情報技術活用能力のニーズ分析」についての２か月間、スコーピングレビューと質的研究を実施し、非常に有意義な機会となりました！

📢📢"Effectiveness of 360-degree video materials for enhancing emotional readiness and spatial comprehension in nursing students during operating room practicum: A prospective controlled study" was published in Nurse Education Today. [Open access]

Highlights
•The 360-degree video improved emotional readiness for operating room practicum.
•The video reduced anxiety and increased interest, enjoyment, and excitement after.
•Video exposure enhanced spatial comprehension of OR workflow.
•Patient-centered visualization fostered greater empathy toward patients.
•A 360-degree video is a promising tool for preparing students for OR practicums.
