🌏🩸 Making History, Saving Lives 🩸🌏

For the first time in 22 years, our team successfully executed an off-island blood drive in Korea—and the impact was incredible.

Through the dedication of our donors and the hard work of our team, we collected a total of 156 units of blood. Each unit has the potential to save multiple lives, directly supporting service members, families, and patients in need across the region.

This mission wasn’t just about numbers—it was about strengthening partnerships, extending our reach, and continuing our commitment to readiness and care wherever it’s needed.

🩸 Operation Enduring Lifeline – Command Endorsed Success 🩸
Operation Enduring Lifeline marked a significant milestone in readiness and partnership across Okinawa.
This first-ever tri-lateral collaboration between the Armed Services Blood Bank Center, the United Service Organizations (USO), and the American Red Cross demonstrated the strength of our joint capabilities in support of mass casualty preparedness.
Across three coordinated blood drives, 74 personnel presented to donate, resulting in 60 successful donations and the production of 180 lifesaving blood products. These contributions directly enhance our ability to respond to contingencies and sustain medical operations when called upon.
In light of increased global demands and Combatant Command requirements for expanded blood support, initiatives like Operation Enduring Lifeline are critical to maintaining operational readiness across the Indo-Pacific. Command leadership extends sincere appreciation to all donors, volunteers, and partner organizations whose efforts made this mission a success. Your actions ensure that when the need arises, we are ready.

We had the honor of hosting the Tripler Army Medical Readiness Battalion Commander LTC Poindexter and Command Sergeant Major CSM Butler at ASBBC Okinawa last week!

Their visit provided an excellent opportunity to connect directly with our Soldiers, recognize their hard work, and highlight the critical role they play in sustaining the Armed Services Blood Program mission across the Indo-Pacific. From donor operations to logistics and mission support, our team continues to deliver life-saving capabilities every day.

Leadership engagement like this reinforces the importance of our mission and the people behind it. Thank you for taking the time to visit, engage with our team, and support our Soldiers on the ground here in Okinawa.

We will be accepting walk-in donors at our facility:

🗓 Friday, March 13th, and next Wednesday, March 18th
⏰ 1000–1300

If you are eligible and able, please consider stopping by to donate. Your donation directly supports service members, their families, and life-saving medical operations across the theater.
