海外では一般の方々の生活に広く普及しているピラティス。スポーツ選手、ダンサー、リハビリ、芸能界での美容目的、健康の維持など、ようやくちまたで名前を聞くようになりました。
ピラティスは、単なる運動ではなく、ご自身の想像を上回る、隠れた才能を引き出すきっかけになるメソッドです。身体で感じていたちょっとした違和感、動きに生じる痛み、その後の後遺症、不安定な動きなど、あらゆる問題の改善向上を期待できます。イニシエイトでは、マット以外に器具を使ったマシンピラティスを行います。エクササイズの種類は数えきれず。バリエショーンも加え、ピラティスの魅力に引き込まれることでしょう。
イニシエイトでは、スポーツクラブやコミュニティーで受けるピラティスとは差別化をしております。初心者の方はもちろん、ピラティスをさらに取り入れたいという方のための専門スタジオです。マンツーマンで行うということ。もしくは少人数で、お客

様の隅々まで気をくばります。セッション2000時間を越えるトレーナーが、お客様の身体にメソッドが深く行き渡るように、パートナーシップでサポートいたします。

Last night, the Pilates community lost one of the great ones, Jay Grimes. Jay Grimes carried Joseph Pilates' work forward for the benefit of us all and never stopped sharing his knowledge. In a modality like Pilates that is relatively young, when you lose one of the original leaders, it is truly felt throughout the entire community. To those who knew Jay, who learned from Jay, and honor his legacy through their own work, we thank you, and we send our condolences.

With deep sadness, we are sharing the news of Jay Grimes’ passing. 

As a friend and mentor, his wholehearted support of Pilatesology motivated us to create a place where the legacy of Pilates could be recorded and passed on to those who won’t have the chance to experience it in person.

Our hearts go out to the Vintage Pilates team and community, you gave Jay the respect and admiration he deserved. ❤️

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the recent passing of Jay Grimes.

Jay passed away peacefully last night under hospice care at Berkley East in Santa Monica, following an ongoing struggle with chronic heart and lung conditions.
 
Jay’s passing has deeply affected us all. He was not just a mentor but also a dear friend, and we will miss him more than words can express. Our thoughts and well-wishes go out to all who were fortunate enough to spend time with him.

In the Pilates community, Jay’s influence has been integral to understanding the original work of Joe Pilates. Jay’s global impact will endure.

Upon Jay’s request, there will be no service.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to sort out his affairs and grieve our loss.
