~~ Symptom burdens among terminally ill cancer patients: A sub-analysis from a large-scale research project ~~
Our group has published study results detailing the changes in symptom severity among various cancer patients admitted to a palliative care ward. We compared their condition at the time of admission with their state three days before passing.
Through understanding the range of symptoms experienced by patients with similar diseases, we aim to alleviate some of their stress and burden. Additionally, we hope our findings will be beneficial for medical professionals in both explaining these symptoms and in their efforts to ease difficult conditions.
In our experience, many patients express significant fear and anxiety related to symptom burden when they imagine their own death.
