House call for postpartum care
A therapist friend of mine referred me to make a house call to provide postpartum care for a foreign patient.
In Japan, it is common for patients to be discharged from the hospital 7 to 10 days after a cesarean section, but in other countries, patients are discharged in about 3 days, which surprised me when I first heard about it.😳
The patient I visited on a house call also showed signs of still having pain from the cesarean wound.😢
I applied moxibustion around the wound and gold-bullet tape which is in picture, to help the wound heal faster.
I also performed other postpartum care acupuncture and moxibustion, which is very beneficial to the body after childbirth. I will introduce in detail below.👇
● Discharge postpartum dew
Excess blood in the uterus is said to cause postpartum depression.
● Tailbone treatment for buttock pain after natural childbirth.
● Detoxification treatment
To increase liver metabolism and minimize side effects after anesthesia or accelerator drugs.
● speed healing of flaws after a perineal incision or C-section,
● Accelerating uterine recovery.
Ideally, acupuncture and moxibustion should be performed between 1 week and 10 days after childbirth. Acupuncture and moxibustion postnatal care is effective for both natural childbirth and cesarean section.
It may seem like the end of the series of pregnancy, conception, and delivery, but there is a long period of child-rearing ahead of you. Before that, let's prepare for child-rearing by giving your body a good rest and also incorporating postpartum care.
