Emotions are a part of our life.
Some people are more, or less, emotional than others by nature and there is nothing wrong with it.
Some people live in emotional extremes - either overly emotional or overly emotionless. Those extremes are mostly caused by traumas, triggers, low self esteem, low level of energy and don’t serve us in any way or form. Giving the emotions too much attention or dismissing them completely is not the way to go.
Emotions are signs that our body give us. Messages about ourselves, our environment, our experiences. It’s a bit like having an alarm clock set on your phone. It can be a sound of soft bird chirping tune that gently gives you information what to do - in this case to get up of bed. Or it can be a super loud heavy trash metal song that makes you jump out of bed not knowing where you are.
The thing is that it is us who set up the alarm which means we need to take responsibility for our mental and emotional state - emotions are mostly created by thoughts- and for our energy levels and self healing.
I myself, at some point in my life, experienced deep depression, constant crying and was functioning on extremes on daily bases. It was so exhausting and affected not only me but also everyone around me. Slowly, as I worked on myself, I came to the place of calmness and bird chirping 💚
And you can be in that place, too 🦋
