【🎓近畿大学医学部・医学研究科　卒業式🎓】
3月14日(土)近畿大学医学部および医学研究科の卒業式を執り行いました。

今年は、医学部 86名、医学研究科 22名が新たな一歩を踏み出しました！
また、移転後初めて、そして泉ヶ丘の地で初めての卒業式となりました🏫

コロナ禍という困難な時期の中で学びを深めてきた皆さんが、
これから医療や研究の現場で活躍されることを心より願っています🙇‍♂️

卒業生の皆さん、ご卒業おめでとうございます。
そして、いつでも近畿大学に帰ってきてください。

🎓 Graduation Ceremony for the Kindai University Faculty of Medicine and Graduate School of Medical Sciences

On March 14, the graduation ceremony for the Faculty of Medicine and the Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Kindai University was held.

This year, 86 students from the Faculty of Medicine and 22 students from the Graduate School of Medical Sciences took their next step forward.
It was also the first graduation ceremony held after the relocation, and the first to take place in Senboku-Izumigaoka.

Having deepened their studies during the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic, we sincerely hope that our graduates will go on to make meaningful contributions in the fields of medicine and research.

Congratulations to all of our graduates.
And please remember that you are always welcome back at Kindai University.

We wish you all the very best in your future endeavors!

【📖 Announcement: Public Second Opinion Event ✏️】

“Have you ever wanted to ask a specialist directly about lung cancer?” 🙋
Do you have questions or concerns about lung cancer?

The Cancer Consultation and Support Center at Kindai University Hospital will host the “Tomoni Ikiru Kai Public Second Opinion” event focusing on lung cancer.

Specialists from Medical Oncology, Thoracic Surgery, and Radiation Oncology, along with nurses, will explain lung cancer treatments and the latest medical information in an easy-to-understand way. They will also answer questions from viewers live during the event.

This event will again be held as a YouTube Live broadcast that you can watch from home (free of charge).

Patients, family members, and anyone interested in learning more about lung cancer are welcome to join. 👍

⚾️【畠世周選手が小児病棟を訪問】🐯
23日(金)、阪神タイガースの畠世周選手（近大OB）が小児病棟を訪問！

ミニゲームや質問コーナーで交流し、子どもたちに笑顔と元気を届けてくださいました！
入院中の子どもたちは目を輝かせながら参加し、ご家族やスタッフにも温かい時間が流れました。

挑戦し続ける畠選手の姿は、病気と向き合う子どもたちの励みに！

📣 Seishu Hatake Visits the Pediatrics Ward
On Friday the 23rd, Seishu Hatake, currently active with the Hanshin Tigers and an alumnus of Kindai University, visited the pediatrics ward!
Through mini games and a Q&A session, he brought smiles and energy to the children in the hospital.
The children participated with shining eyes, creating a warm and uplifting time for their families and our staff as well.
Hatake’s spirit of continuously taking on challenges became a source of encouragement for children facing illness.
Thank you, Hatake-san, for the wonderful visit!

日本一ことばを聞き分ける城崎マリンワールドのトド「ハマちゃん」に
画面越しで声のサインを送る特別な飼育員体験ツアーに参加しました📱🎤
Zoomでとつながり、ハマちゃんの紹介を聞いたあとは、こどもたちがドキドキしながらサイン出しに挑戦！
長い入院・療養中でも、生きものとふれあうワクワクする時間を。
憧れの水族館の飼育員になった気分を味わえる、笑顔あふれるひとときとなりました😊

🦭✨ From the hospital room to becoming a sea lion trainer! ✨🦭
Children in the pediatric ward joined a special keeper experience tour,
sending voice signals through the screen to Hama-chan,
Japan’s sea lion known for understanding words incredibly well.
Connected to the aquarium via Zoom,
the children first learned about Hama-chan,
then bravely tried giving her voice commands themselves—
with excitement and a few nervous smiles along the way!
Even during long hospital stays and recovery,
this experience brought joyful moments of connection with animals.
It was a heartwarming time that let the children feel like
they were real aquarium keepers for a day, filled with smiles and wonder 😊

本日のカウントダウンは、工藤正俊医学部・病院統括副学長です✨

工藤先生は、1997年に近畿大学医学部第二内科（当時）に着任され、当時は肝臓を専門とする医師が少ない状況でしたが、工藤先生は新しい診断や治療の方法を積極的に取り入れ、肝臓・消化器疾患の医療を大きく発展させてこられました。
その後、消化器内科の独立と発展を牽引し、若手医師がそれぞれの興味や個性を活かしながら成長できる環境づくりにも力を注いできました。

Today's countdown features Dr. Masatoshi Kudo, Vice President, Kindai University, and Executive Director, Faculty of Medicine and Kindai University ✨
Dr. Kudo joined the Second Department of Internal Medicine at Kindai University in 1997.
At the time, there were few specialists in liver disease, but Dr. Kudo actively introduced new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, greatly advancing medical care for liver and gastrointestinal diseases.
He later led the establishment and growth of the Department of Gastroenterology, creating an environment in which young physicians can develop their skills while drawing on their individual interests and strengths.
