この方は、小さい頃に八重歯が嫌で左上の犬歯を抜いたそうです。またその後、下の前歯が１本内側へ生えてきたのでそれも抜いたそうです。
当院には最初「ホワイトニング」をご希望で来院され始めましたが、歯が白くなったら歯並びも治したくなったとのことでインビザラインを使用し矯正治療を始めました。すでに抜いてしまった歯があるため、左右の前歯の本数が不揃いだったのですが、正面から見て左右対称に見える自然な歯並びになるよう工夫をして治療を行いました。バランス調整がとても難しかったです・・・。

歯が内側に傾いてしまい、咬み合わせが上下で反対咬合の状態になってしまう症状を交叉咬合（こうさこうごう・クロスバイト）と呼びます。モノが咬み切れない、発音がしにくい、歯が磨きにくいなど色々な不具合が出てしまいます。このような歯並びの方は結果的に歯の寿命も短くなりますので、同様の症状でお悩みの方は早めに矯正治療をご検討下さい。
